When to Call Emergency Services
Call 999 immediately if you or someone else is experiencing:
- Chest pain or difficulty breathing
- Severe bleeding that won't stop
- Unconsciousness or not responding
- Suspected heart attack or stroke
- Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis)
- Major injuries from accidents
Non-Emergency Medical Help
For non-life-threatening medical issues:
- NHS 111: Call 111 for medical advice (24/7)
- GP Surgery: Contact your local doctor during opening hours
- Pharmacist: Many pharmacies offer extended hours and health advice
- Urgent Care Centres: For treatment that can't wait until morning
